I’m curious if you were to make some predictions, what are some of the potential negative consequences of the arrival of AI agents, or AGI, that people don’t talk about today? Hi Jack, thanks for reading! If I had to predict the unintended negative consequences of AI, it would be:
a) increased reliance on AI for emotional support and human connection,
b) growing income inequality, as the wealth generated by AI becomes concentrated in the hands of those who control it (unless governments intervene)
c) deeper societal polarization, as AI systems may reinforce and amplify existing biases.
I sincerely hope these outcomes don’t come to pass, but time will tell. Let’s revisit this in five years :)
